In the late 1700s/early 1800s Melrose Tea issued trade tokens in the UK. You can see one such token below. This is a copper farthing issued by Andrew Melrose.
On the back, you can see a tea canister and sugar loaf. Around the token in the text “Genuine Teas Direct from the India House. This coin was sold by a coin dealer but you can read more about it at the National Museum of Scotland.
