When was The First Tea Served in Scotland?

We all know that Scotland has a long history when it comes to tea drinking.

Tea drinking was introduced to the royal palace in Scotland by a queen who grew up where tea was already a fashionable drink.

Italian born Mary of Modena, Duchess of York, got her tea drinking habit while in the Netherlands. Tea was served at Holyrood Palace at Edinburgh in Scotland in 1680 and she poured the first tea.

She was visiting her soon to be her first husband that time, better known as King James VII of Scotland.
